“What are your first impressions of Noble Knights?”
SelectMaple says:
Noble Knights have a lot of potential. Being able to flood the field, destroy your opponents cards and easily search and recycle your equip cards, I believe this deck can be a top tier deck. The drawback to this deck is only having 3 zones for your equip cards and being a Warrior type deck, being vulnerable to Warrior Elimination.
Glading says:
They will make a new meta.
AndyTsang says:
Noble Knights in TCG were a gimmicky strategy built around surrounding a single monster with equips that protected it from targeting, as well as destruction. But in a format full of Spellbook of Fate and Amazoness Onslaught, I think Noble Knights came at a bad time.
Super Vegito says:
I think this deck has some potential. Being able to destroy set cards with Noble Arms - Arfeudutyr and swarm the field with the effect of Noble Knight Medraut will definitely give Sylvans some trouble. Warrior Elimination will be a setback for this deck which lacks recovery.
“What are your first impressions of Six Samurais?”
SelectMaple says:
Another deck vulnerable to Warrior Elimination, Six Samurais get more support in this upcoming box. With the release of Grandmaster of the Six Samurai, the deck is a lot faster than before and can create new combos with cards like Cunning of the Six Samurai and Secret Six Samurai - Doji. I believe this deck has a ton of potential and could possibly make it to the tier list.
Glading says:
I think it will be a high potential deck.
AndyTsang says:
Grandmaster of the Six Samurai is a godsend. Great Shogun Shien is great vs Spellbooks.
Super Vegito says:
Grandmaster of the Six Samurai gives Six Samurias a huge boost. Allowing you to have a second monster on the field to activate your effects much faster. Also being able to banish your Samurai monsters in the graveyard to avoid one of your monsters from being destroyed by a card effect is helpful in this current meta.
“What are your first impressions of Bujins?”
SelectMaple says:
Bujins were first introduced in Resonance of Contrast. The deck lacked very many support cards, but now with the upcoming new box, Bujins can possibly be a top tier deck. Possibly builds that could be playable are That Grass Looks Greener, getting as many Bujingi monsters to the grave for their effects or Ties of the Brethren, getting your Bujin Yamato out faster onto the field and flooding your field.
Glading says:
Trash!
AndyTsang says:
Bujins with Ties of the Brethren may be a thing (Bujin Yamato + Bujin Mikazuchi + Bujin Arasuda). However, similar to Noble Knights the flaw with Bujins has always been non-targetting, non-destruction removal, as their main protection comes from Bujingi Turtle and Bujingi Hare.
“Which cards seem needed for a current top-tier deck?”
SelectMaple says:
Nobleman of Crossout: A great tech or side deck card being able to slow down Sylvans banishing their facedown Sylvan Komushroomo, World Carrotweight Champion or Rose Lover. Nobleman of Crossout doesn’t just counter Sylvans, but also against any deck as it is a great removal card in general.
Glading says:
Super Vegito says:
Nobleman of Crossout: A very useful card to have in your side deck for the Sylvans matchup.
“Which cards may be used in a current top-tier deck?”
SelectMaple says:
Special Hurricane: Pretty nice side deck card as this meta is very special summoning heavy. Though the card is pretty situational and the cost could possibly hurt you. Nonetheless, this card could possibly be a top tier side deck card.
Xing Zhen Hu Replica: The mix between Xing Zhen Hu and Fire Formation - Gyokkou. Xing Zhen Hu Replica is a good card to lock your opponents backrow. This card will most likely have more play than its original counterpart, the argument here is whether to play this or Fire Formation - Gyokkou. I personally would still play Gyokkou over Replica, but this could be more of a personal preference.
Glading says:
“Which cards have significant future potential?”
Glading says:
D.D.R. - Different Dimension Reincarnation and the Monarch cards.
Super Vegito says:
Monarchs!
“Any other thoughts on the box?”
Super Vegito says:
We didn’t get enough Monarch support like we expected from this box but I think they can be somewhat competitive using Paleozoic Canadia and Paleozoic Hallucigenia.
