In case you missed it, this week’s Meta Weekly was the first Weekly after Harpies’ big showing at the MCS. As such, we had a slight clawback in representation with more Blue-Eyes and rogue decks in Top 32. In the finals, we once again had Harpies up against Blue-Eyes, but this time, Terrific’s Harpies came out on top over moodtrapper’s Blue-Eyes.

How does it feel to win another weekly?

It feels very good to be at the top again and somehow like an early birthday present!

How did it go for you today?

Swiss went very well except that I lost the mirror match once and I couldn’t do anything about it. In Top 32, both matches that I played against Water Xyz were very close, but the rest went without any problems.

Why did you go with Harpies today?

It’s the strongest deck at the moment and I wanted nothing less than victory so my choice was clear.

Would you like to explain any of your Deck choices, would you make any changes?

Apart from the Forbidden Lance and the Cyber Harpie Lady, my decklist is very standard. I decieded for Cyber Harpie Lady because it can deal with cards like Fire King Avatar Arvata. In addition, she is better in the mirror match than Harpie Ladie 1 (who boosts all WIND monsters not just your own). Also I played Forbidden Lance mainly for the mirror, because I wanted at least one card that could protect my Cyber Slash Harpie Lady or my Number 18: Heraldry Patriarch. In the future, I would maybe swap back to Harpie Lady 1 when Blue-Eyes sees more play.
