Meta Weekly 187 Champion Spotlight - Norentino
In case you missed it, this week’s Meta Weekly was the first Weekly after the Selection BOX. In the finals, we had a match between Norentinos’s Onomat and Jordyyy’s Gaia, with Norentino coming out on top.
How does it feel to win your first Meta Weekly?
It was an amazing experience because a lot of friends were cheering for me in the Finals. Also, this is only my third Meta Weekly, so I didn’t expect to win so fast
Why did you go with Onomat this Weekly?
Because they are the best deck in the game, Photon Strike Bounzer / Steelswarm Roach pass with 1-2 backrow and Gagaga Head follow-up isn’t okay so hopefully Konami nerfs Onomatoplay again
How did the day go for you? Any notable matchups?
Top 4 against LoreRomaCCG was a very disgusting game to play and watch, It was Photon Strike Bounzer+ Set 2 in first game and Steelswarm Roach + Set 3 in the second. It was so dumb to win that way against T.G.
Would you like to explain any of your Deck choices?
I would run Book of Moon instead of Paleozoic Canadia and Forbidden Chalice for sure but right now we can’t get triple Book of Moon without spending money…
