Chemicritter Carbo Crab now at 3x is really cool since he’s a great facilitator at moving cards where they need to be (big guys like Poly-Chemicritter Dioxogre or Darkstorm Dragon to the grave, and normal summons like Dark Valkyria or Heavy Knight of the Flame to the hand). Equipping Crab with Supervise to dump a Dioxogre and search a Valkyria is a great 2-card opener since Dioxogre will be summoned when Crab is destroyed and Crab will be fodder for Dioxogre’s effect.
Chemicritter Oxy Ox is an interesting addition but best-case scenario you set him turn 1, your opponent swings into him (and he survives), you Gemini summon him on your turn to pull a Dioxogre out of your hand, and without Supervise Dioxogre won’t have his effect right away. His level modulation effect is meant to bring out the Xyz monster Vola-Chemicritter Methydraco, which we obviously don’t have, but it could also be useful with Beatdown. Annoyingly, his 2100 DEF isn’t enough to stand up to a Gozuki/Samurai Skull under Vampire Kingdom.
Chemicritters probably won’t give rise to a new top-tier deck, but they do have some very solid turn 1 plays (Crab + Supervise, set Oxy Ox, or even set Featherizer since banishing effects are rarer now), and a good turn 1 is one of the most important features of a top Duel Links deck. On top of that they have access to strong destruction effects (from Dioxogre and Darkstorm) that give the deck some real power. It will definitely be a fun deck to play around with.
For the others, Red Ogre has a really strong effect but I don’t know quite where you’d put him. (Thank goodness he wasn’t in the game with the original Three-Star Demotion though.) Shutendoji could potentially be played as a 1-of in Vampires to recycle resources for Kingdom’s effect, but opening it early would be pretty bad.
