Dinos Breakdown

Overview

Dinos are a control-based deck with significant amounts of disruptive effects, the best among them coming from Survival’s End. Synergy with the Paleozoic traps boosts the effectiveness of Survival’s End (either destroying them with its first effect, or being sent to the grave by Paleozoic Marrella). Dinos are able to quickly OTK after a Survival swarm or slowly pick apart their opponent’s resources, but weaknesses to stall/burn strategies will need to be accounted for when using this deck.

Extra Information

  • If you have two Survival’s End in the grave but only one Dinosaur on the field, you can target it twice to still destroy two cards your opponent controls.
  • Be careful about how you order your chain links when resolving the on-field effect of Survival’s End, especially when it comes to bringing Paleozoic cards out from the grave. If you want to keep the Paleo alive, bring it out as the response to a non-Survival Trap activation and then chain Survival afterwards. If you want the Paleo destroyed by Survival, then simply bring it out as a chain to Survival’s activation.
