The Meta Championship Series is Duel Links’ largest and most competitive tournament held monthly for cash prizes. It’s where the best players compete for the largest prize pool in Duel Links with over $25,000 given out already!

For MCS X: World’s Edition, we are are using the Official Duel Links World Championship 2018 rules 1 Week before the event itself!

• 7 rounds, top 32 cut
• 140 player cap, all x-2 make the top cut
• $10 entry fee
• 3 Decks
  • Standard/Legendary/Standard (Game order of a Match)
  • Different Character and Skill per deck
  • Standard deck = no restriction
  • Legendary Deck = Official World’s 2018 restrictions down below
  • Best of 3
  • Win or Lose, you cannot use the same deck again in a match
• Grand Finals will be:
  • Full Official Duel Links World Championship 2018 Format
  • Standard/Legendary/Standard/Legendary/Standard (Game order of a Match)
  • Best of 5
  • Finalists will need an additional Legendary and Standard deck
• 100% of the entry fee + 100% stream donations are prize support

In order of priority:

• Past MCS champions
• Top Player Council
• Top 100 Meta Ladder

You must message Gia (GiaJoestar#7730) for your invite and must purchase entry before July 23rd or you lose your invite priority.

Subscribers may have an opportunity to attain the “excess” invites that aren’t claimed or paid for on July 18th 6pm EST in the #sub-lounge.

• You can only have three (3) copies of the same card across your three (3) Decks.
• You can only have one (1) copy of a Limited card across your three (3) Decks.
• You can only have two (2) copies of a Semi-Limited card across your three (3) Decks.
  • For example: You can run two (2) Enemy Controller across your three (3) Decks.

Skills

Legendary Decks require that players use certain Skills for their character. Each character has a list of Skills you can set. You can Duel without setting a Skill as well.

Core Cards

Legendary Decks must contain “Core Cards”, or character-specific cards.
Each character has a different set or sets of Core Cards.
There are 2 types of Core Cards (some Core Card sets may only contain 1 type):

• Optional Cards

Required

Required cards are cards you must include in a character’s Legendary Deck, at the required number of copies or more.
NOTE: Alternate Art cards are counted as well. Excluding Yugi/Arkana Dark Magician

Optional

Optional Cards are cards that you must include in a character’s Legendary Deck at the minumum required number, but can be chosen from a list of cards.
